A love affair between classic rock and alternative pop music, Best Behavior (Alex Gruenburg) has found a new touchstone with his latest release “Believers”. Expanding upon the garage rock stylings of his previous releases, Gruenburg has developed a new voice in pop rock. Edgy synths and a driving back beat propel ‘Believers’ and have Best Behavior sounding their most confident yet.
Hailing from New York City, Alex Gruenburg began recording bedroom demos in 2015 that would become his debut album “Good Luck Bad Karma”. The followup “Things That Happened”, produced by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, John Mayer) featured a wall-of-sound that would become the spark for a more contemporary sound. Touring the U.S., Best Behavior has performed everywhere from small basements, national festivals and opening for bands The Darkness, The Struts, and The Pains of Being Pure At Heart.
Equal parts Tom Petty and Phoenix, Best Behavior has found inspiration in seemingly opposing genres and given us a new take on what current pop rock can be. Uplifting lyrics that spring from situations of genuine sadness showcase Gruenburg’s most emotional and honest songwriting to date. The newest single ’Believers’, out on Rockasaurus Records, is both milestone and a new beginning for Best Behavior.
